Short Story “Urlaub? Nein, danke!” in the anthology “Endlich(er) Urlaub & 20 weitere Kurzgeschichten” (Hybrid Verlag)

The humorous short story “Urlaub? Nein, danke!” was created in the context of a writing contest for a holiday anthology by Hybrid Verlag and was published as the final story in this one in 2017.

It is about Watson, who does not want to go on holiday under any circumstances, and in 2018 it became the first chapter of my humorous debut novel “Watsons Welt – Zwischen Urlaubsstress und Umzugschaos“ (see “Novels“) in a revised version.

Mystic Moments – Fotodesign and the Hybrid Verlag present fairytale images, transformed into fairytale stories by fifteen authors.

With this collection of fantastic stories and mystic images both partners support the good cause. The proceeds will be used to support the association “We are One”. An initiative that passes on all proceeds without exception to the pain and children’s palliative care unit at Homburg University Hospital.

My bizarre short story “Sleeping Beauty’s Last Working Day”, which is based on well-known fairy tales by the Grimm brothers, is about a geocatching event in a rural idyll, where the participants complete various fairy tale stations. But the course of the event and the grand finale are completely different than planned.

For the first writing competition I took part in, I wrote the classic fairy tale “The Three Pearls”. It is about a wizzard who turns a beautiful young girl into a butterfly every year on the summer solstice. At the behest of a fairy, a young man embarks on an adventurous journey to find three pearls that can free his beloved from the magician’s clutches.
